Meet Lawrence County's Next District Attorney

NEW CASTLE, Pa.- Former Naval Judge Advocate General and local attorney Joshua Lamancusa is Lawrence County's next District Attorney. Voters elected the Democrat on Tuesday giving him more than 58% of the votes. Only 42% were cast for Republican candidate and local attorney George Freed.


The unofficial results reported by the Lawrence County Elections Bureau based on 100% of Lawrence County's precincts counted:

JOSHUA LAMANCUSA (D)- 10,068...58%

GEORGE FREED (R)- 7,266...41.89%

Lamancusa will take office in January replacing current District Attorney John Bongivengo.

Lamancusa defeated Bongivengo in May's Democratic Primary Election.
