GROVE CITY, Pa.-- Westminster College's WCN will go into friendly enemy territory on Saturday afternoon as WCN televises the Titan/Wolverine football game live.
WCN Chief Engineer spent Thursday morning in Grove city checking the network's television feed from Grove City College's football field with technical crews from Armstrong Cable.
It's the first time WCN has televised a game live from another PAC school and it's all possible with the help of Armstrong Cable.
Since Armstrong took over New Wilmgton's cable system, the company has partnered with WCN to expand live programming opportunties.
Successful coverage of high school sports and events from Ellwood City in the past year has fostered this new history making effort from Grove City.
"We truly are a cable network now as our programs are featured on both Comcast in Lawrence County and on Armstrong Cable in Lawrence, Mercer and Butler counties," Westminster Communications Studies, Theater & Art Department Chair David Barner. "It's exciting to be able to broadcast the game live from Grove City and Armstrong's putting it on throughout the region."
WCN carries the game live on Titan Radio and www.titanradio.net as well.
Live television coverage from Grove City begins Saturday afternoon with the game kick off at 1 p.m. from Robert E. Thorn Field.
