NEW WILMINGTON, Lawrence County-- Do first year students really pack on 15 pounds during their freshman year in college? A Cornell University study revealed evidence that the weight gain or "freshman 15" isn't just a myth. The study claims the significant weight gain among first year students is a real phenomenon. The research also suggests a number of factors relating to a change in lifestyle and stress associate with campus life coupled with lots of unhealthy food choices add up for a first year students.
