The Greyhound football squad continued defending it's Class AA state football crown by traveling to Oil City on Friday night rolling over the Oilers.
Wilmington returned home after a 37 to 7 victory continuing an undefeated streak for the season.
The hometown crowd cheered Wilmington to a season opener victory at Greyhound Stadium in New Wilmington during a Saturday night game.
The 34-14 score marked the third consecutive win this season for the defending state Class AA football champions.
District 10 Class AA high school football rivals clashed in Greenville in Mercer County on Friday night, but Wilmington dominated the evening.
The Greyhounds defeated the Trojans 36 to 15.
Wilmington brings the action back to Greyhound Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 19, for the Hounds home-opener against Grove City.
